Steam Trap Repairs

Find repair parts for your thermostatic, float & thermostatic, thermodynamic and inverted bucket steam traps. Repair almost any steam trap from any manufacturer.

The “Barnes & Jones/Edison Element”, called a Cage Unit, is a self-contained thermostatic repair unit that is designed to repair thermostatic steam traps without taking the trap body off line. Cage Units  are 100% factory calibrated and tested, under live steam and condensate, to insure uniform operation in the field.

Similar to other types of steam traps, a Float & Thermostatic (F&T) repair is an easier and more cost-effective solution than replacing the entire trap in the line. Most of the time, the body is fine and it’s only one of the interior parts that is faulty.

Thermodynamic Steam Traps (also called Thermokinetic Traps) work with only one moving part – a stainless steel disc that cycles based on the pressure and velocity of steam or condensate. Over time, the disc eventually wears out and requires replacement for the steam trap to continue to work properly

Inverted Bucket steam traps eventually require repair as they go through their many open/close cycles during use. The part of the trap that suffers the most wear and tear is the pressure change assembly (also called a valve mechanism assembly) – which includes the valve seat with orifice, and the lever mechanism.

When your steam trap has experienced damage due to general wear and tear or other similar conditions that come with age, repairing the bellows is a simple, cost-efficient solution. Most of the time the actual trap body is still in good condition, while only the ‘guts’ need to be replaced.

Keystone Steam Supplies offers a variety of repair parts for thermostatic, float & thermostatic, inverted bucket and thermodynamic steam traps.

  • No need to remove a steam trap from the line (no frustrating repiping work required!).
  • Repairing an existing steam trap costs less than purchasing a brand new trap.
  • Steam trap repairs are easy to perform – possibly even simpler than replacing an entire trap.
  • Repairs are possibly for virtually every brand of steam trap by every manufacturer
  • And more…
